Hi, this is Josh Weiss at 10 to 1 Public Relations. A lot of people have been coming to me recently to ask for some advice on how they can help their businesses during COVID-19, from a public relations perspective. I want to share a few ideas here on this video that your company might be able to implement on their own. The tip for this session is pivoting to make sure that you benefit as much as you can during this very, very tough time. Let me share a few examples of different clients that have taken advantage of pivoting their company to make sure they maximize their ability to be in front of their clients but also to introduce new products and new ways that those products can be used. One of our clients, for example, is a company called The CORE Institute. They’re one of the largest orthopedic practices in the nation with huge facilities all over Arizona and Michigan and other places across the country. What they did is they created Urgent Ortho. So, instead of people who normally would schedule an appointment to go in and get treated and get checked for their elbow or these different issues, now they can basically treat it like a walk-in clinic, allowing them to go in, quickly be seen, get the care that they need without having to go to the emergency room and be around a bunch of other people who may have different medical issues related to COVID or others that could be contagious. Another example is a company called Ninja Focus. It’s a new app that is basically, the goal is for young children to reduce their anxiety. They can do yoga through this app. They do mindfulness exercises. They do guided meditation. All these really cool things, breathing exercises. It’s fantastic for kids who are already in a really stressed out position right now. It’s also great for those parents who are having to be home with their kids, trying to home school them at the same time. So, this app is designed specifically for young kids. It was originally intended to be for kids who are maybe three to 13. They had everything built out for kids who are up to about 10 years old and instead of continuing on with the older age kids, they decided to focus on that three to 10 part, get it out as quickly as possible to benefit as many people as possible. Another new product is a company called Inspected. What they’re able to do is they are doing permitting online, so now municipalities can still help people get permits for their properties for all the different things that they’re trying to do, in terms of the construction perspective. They no longer need to go meet you at your house and see it for themselves. They can do it through this app, through video chats, through GPS photos to prove that they truly are looking at the right thing. There’s lot of things that you can do through your company by just modifying slightly what your product currently does to adapt it to this current environment or to rush that product to market, so that now being the perfect time, where you can really stand out and have a huge impact on the community. On behalf of all of us at 10 to 1 Public Relations, stay safe, stay positive and please wash your hands.
