Hi, this is Josh Weiss with 10 to 1 Public Relations. A lot of companies have been coming forward and asking for some advice on what they can do to help raise some awareness for their businesses during COVID-19 from a public relations perspective. I wanted to create a few videos to give a couple ideas that companies can implement on their own. The tip for this video is: show them what they’re missing. There’s a lot of industries right now that are really, really hurt. Specifically the vacation industry. So, one of our clients is an organization called the Peñasco Business Coalition. Basically, Puerto Peñasco in Mexico is better known in Arizona as Rocky Point. And it’s a great resort town that everyone enjoys going for vacations and just get away for spring break. Basically, it’s the closest beach for Arizona for those who are unfamiliar with it. It’s only about a four hour drive from the Phoenix area. So a lot of those businesses are really hard hit with nobody able to travel to go visit and stay in their great locations and go to those great restaurants and all those great amenities. So what we’re encouraging those businesses to do, is show people what they’re missing. The simple example would be a boat charter company. Go out, spend an hour just filming yourself fishing on the side of the boat. Make sure the background is beautiful with the Malecon, which is the downtown area of Rocky Point, in the background. Or Sandy Beach, where all the resorts are or just the open sea and just let people enjoy what they’re missing, and let ’em just relax for a little bit as they’re watching that live stream. Another example would be all the great restaurants that they have down there. Look, we’re in Phoenix, Arizona in the desert. There’s not a lot of really, really good seafood. So take advantage of showing those seafood dishes. Show that completed plate and make their mouths water. In terms of the different drinks and the different cocktails. Show the bartenders making those and teach people at home how to make ’em. ‘Cause the truth is, most people aren’t. They’re just gonna wish that they were in Rocky Point, drinking it themselves. Another example as well, is for different companies such as Casago, which is a vacation rental company that rents out different vacation rental properties across much, much, of Mexico and much of the United States. This is the perfect time to demonstrate what those condos look like. So that when people are trying to book their next vacation, they can see these beautiful apartments, these beautiful condos that they be renting and staying in, if they were to reserve for it. It’s a great opportunity to show people what they’re missing, they wish they were there right now. They wish they were with those companies right now. Since you can’t do anything in terms of having people come in terms of a business perspective right now, take advantage of the opportunity to make people jealous, and make them wish that they were in your location.
